Elegance and Depth of The Midnight Brown Cashmere

As a textile, cashmere is the embodiment of what we wanted to create the Lazyman Jacket to be within its spirit. One may say then that this combination is a merging of two of the same – the Lazyman Jacket in its truest form.

It was our aim to create something that was soft, supple, drape gracefully over the body and in effect, be a jacket-cardigan hybrid. It is this essence of the Lazyman Jacket that allows the cashmere to contour itself to the silhouette of the wearers body. It means these grooves and the beautiful drape from the cashmere gifts the wearer the elegance that a well-worn piece imbues. All whilst keeping them delightfully warm to boot!

Worn here with a red turtleneck, our Lazyman Jacket in the midnight brown cashmere is the perfect companion for this cold, wintery season. It’s great on its own during the milder, yet colder-winded afternoons and perfect as a layering piece on those crisper, winter mornings.

Using red as layer, like we have here, with any item of brown clothing allows for an enhancement to the colour’s richness and depth. It’s due to its inherent makeup upon the artist’s palette that results in this. One mixes red, yellow and blue to create that beautiful warmth and fullness of the colour brown which we have all come to know and adore – especially during the autumn and winter months when we yearn for not only warmer clothing, but warmer tones. It’s thanks to this then, that when paired with red (or even a cooler light blue or vivid yellow) a much deeper and richer texture is achieved – not only to the colour but to the fabric; almost as if one can perceive the colour beneath it.

Another priority for us was the maximisation of experience for the Anthologist, and what better way to experience the beauty and richness of the this cashmere than through something that due to its unconstructed nature meant that it could be felt in a much closer, more intimate way.
